Merry Christmas Everyone

Hello all and Merry Christmas. It's a nice little wind storm here on the west coast of Canada. Lots of rain and blustery weather, but it's all good just adds to the fun.

Well Happy Halloween or Samhain, whichever you choose, to Everyone!!

Today was a bizzar but fun day with our entire branch off on retreat. Lots of fun to be had including a funkiest etc hat contest as there was no costuming it to the retreat. But lots of fun none the less. For those of you who knew me at UNBSJ i pulled a classic "hat" idea from my Halloween costume closet and went as a "red-eyed susan". That is i took a bandana and used a stapler to attached some petals (though for any of you know know botany and red-eyed susans we know they're actually bracts ^_~) from this funky foam stuff you can get in most craft stores, drew a few bugs on (spider and a ladybug) and put my bandana on my head pulled the petals down and BOO! it's a flower hat.

Lots of fun, won the wackiest hat award, and got lots of complements.

Otherwise the retreat was quite interesting, and maybe that's because it's my first time going to this type of retreat, but i found it highly education (always important).

Anyways i hope y'all had as colourfull a Halloween as i did ^__^;

Long time no post

So it's been a while, i admit it. I've totally not been keeping this or any of my 5 or is it 6 other blogs up to date.

Oh well, the new job is good. having lots of fun as an Information and Privacy analyst. I'd tell you about my job but then i'd have to kill you so best to leave it at i love my job.

Um i also have an interview with the RCMP coming up soon. To be a forensic tech. So fingers crossed everyone!!!

um what else, Oh yes i just bought a new computer, it's a Macbook. Not the pro but i like it anyways. i'm slowly figuring out all the macy goodness, and all the stupid Mac things like how to make a right click and how to acess messenger through Adium etc. other fun stuff like that. So it's working out well. And if my tablet works proper with Photoshop when i get it on here i'll be compltely stoked and forgive Mac it's stupid quirks.

anyways that's it for me and my pretty new comptuer.

I can't remember if i posted this here before or not, but it works and i'm addicted to it at current so whatever.

AAFS so fun

So yeah, I up and went to AAFS for 2 days last week.
It was really cool, some very interesting talks on DNA, mtDNA, pathology, and biology stuff, strange crime scenes and such.
Not to mention the great exhibits section. Which was very neat, lots of people to talk to and fun things being given away. The UV ink pen being very neat, thatnks to the people at http://www.forensics.ca
I'll have to look up the other stuff and list them here.
The hotel i stayed at had a heating system that dissagreed with my nose, but it was so cold in my room i had no choice but use it. so my head is super stuffed up and i have a headache.
But hey it was well worth it because the conference was great.
